Implementation and Results

The proposed model works in the layers: the sensor tier, the fog computing tier, and the cloud computing tier. This is quite common; but the kind of processing done in the fog computing layer, and the use of blockchain for securing preprocessed EHRs, are different from other architectures.

Sensors Layer

Sensors are the devices that assemble data from patients. They assemble both extraneous and natural qualities. Outward attributes are the temperature, area, etc. Inherent qualities are the pulse, blood glucose level, heartbeat, etc that are gathered by the patient’s wearable sensors. The patient can likewise enter information into their advanced cell, and this information will at that point be made accessible for preparing. The activity of the sensors is to gather this information and send it to the fog processing layer.

Fog Computing Layer

This layer achieves information examination and total analysis of the information. The information and data gathered by the edge devices are broke down in this layer. This layer carries on as the server. The fog layer at that point disseminates the preparation work to different edge devices associated with the fog layer, and subsequently, gigantic measures of information are broken down.

A. Work Distribution: This errand is performed by means of a smart gateway, utilizing a scheduler.

B. Data Aggregation: When assignments are dispersed, the information must be amassed. Information collection consists of three primary parts: composition planning, copied location, and information combination. Diagram planning guarantees that the information is accumulated so that it bodes well, and there is a stream to the information. Copied identification guarantees that there will not be excess information. Information combination is the last phase of information collection, wherein the last data is assembled as one element [43]. At the fog nodes, different operations, such as data preprocessing, data analysis, and the securing of the data, are performed using blockchain technologies.

Cloud Computing Layer

Patients’ secured health records are stored in the cloud layer and accessed by the authenticated doctors for further analysis and diagnosis.

Data Preprocessing

Data preprocessing is that movement where data is changed, or encoded, to convey it to such an express, that now the machine can parse it efficiently. In a manner of speaking, the features of the data would now have the option to be successfully deciphered by the estimation.

There are significant steps in data preprocessing, as follows:

  • 1. Acquire the dataset: This dataset will include information assembled from different and dissimilar sources, which are then joined in a legitimate organization to shape a dataset.
  • 2. Import all the necessary libraries
  • 3. Import the dataset
  • 4. Extract the independent variables
  • 5. Recognize and deal with the missing attributes
  • 6. Encode the unmitigated information
  • 7. Feature scaling: Scaling is a technique to normalize the factors of a dataset inside a particular range.

Effective Analytics Using Machine Learning

We collected data from sensors, creating big data containing antenatal care. Even the diabetic datasets from patients were retrieved for analysis. Results were obtained using different machine learning algorithms. The final analysis was fed into a blockchain module, to secure the data. Premature birth is the closure of pregnancy

due to evacuating an incipient organism or baby before it is due outside the uterus. At the point when intentional advances are taken to end a pregnancy, it is called an instigated fetus removal. Figure 12.2 is a pictorial representation of count versus causes of abortion.

Diabetic data collected over sensors from different hospitals are analyzed. The patients’ test results and other records are collected. A linear regression is carried out, which is a procedure for exhibiting the association between a scalar variable у and at least one informative factor signified as X. The occurrence of one illustrative variable is called an essential straight relapse. Figure 12.3 shows the result of the linear regression.

Distribution of Number of Patients Based on Age Group

In insights, calculated relapse, or logit relapse, or logit model is a relapse model where the dependent variable (DV) is flat. The instance of paired factors—i.e., the place it can take are only two qualities, for example, pass or fail, win or lose, alive or dead, or solid or unhealthy. Cases with multiple classifications are alluded to as multinomial strategic relapse, or, if the numerous classifications are wished, as ordinal calculated relapse.

We also analyzed the data based on age groups, with an interval of 10 years. We initially made a hypothesis stating that people of the age group 60-80 are most affected by diabetes. We used a graphical method to analyze this hypothesis. The bar graph shown in Figure 12.4 was plotted having age groups on the л-axis and the number of patients on the у-axis. A pie chart representations of an analysis based on gender is shown in Figure 12.5, and an analysis based on the administration of insulin is presented in Figure 12.6.
