1. The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health was

endorsed at the 54th World Health Assembly of 22 May 2001 (WHA Resolution 54.21). Accepted as one of the social classifications for the United Nations, it takes in the Rules for the Equalisation of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities adopted by the United Nations General Assembly at its 48th session on 20 December 1993.
