Here, and are fixed intercepts, a and в are the fixed treatment effects on the two endpoints, mSi and mTi are random intercepts, and a* and bi are trial-specific random treatment effects. As pointed out in Chapter 4, the vector of random effects (mSi, mTi, ai,bi) is assumed to follow a normal distribution with zero mean and covariance matrix (4.2). The %CONTRANFULL macro can be used to perform the analysis and it can be invoked using the following call:
