Regardless of the cost of compliance or the complexities in achieving compliance, these rules are the law. Therefore, regulatory compliance is not an option for companies. In developing a program to inform the needs of a company, it is essential that management allocates proper funding to support the initiative, secure the skilled staff needed to develop and implement the program, and ensure a process in place that will provide metrics to determine program effectiveness.
